We’re now accepting entries for our Aintree Sprints and Barbon Hillclimbs

For the Barbon Hillclimbs, go to our Barbon Hillclimbs page
Sadly, the Aintree Sprints are not attracting sufficient competitors to cover the cost of running them. So we are only running two sprints in 2025 in the hope that we gain more competitors for each one to help cover the costs.
We need your entry to help keep motorsport alive at Aintree.
We hope you will join us in 2025. The message is simple, use it or lose it!
2025 ENTRY FEES
The cost of running our sprints has risen dramatically in recent years. Of your £133 entry fee, £33 goes straight to MSUK, so we retain just £100 from each competitor towards running the event. It now costs us nearly £14,000 to stage a sprint at Aintree after you include circuit hire, medical cover MSUK event fees etc. And we have to pay for track repairs too!
Divide those expenses by the entry fee, and you will see that we need well over 120 competitors to break even. Last year we averaged just 89 competitors at each sprint, so no wonder we ran at a loss in 2024.
We know that everyone is finding it difficult to balancing their finances. Liverpool Motor Club is run entirely by volunteers and does not benefit from any external funding. But we shall hold our entry fees at 2024’s level for another year in the hope we can attract more competitors.
Please spread the word that to keep running motorsport events at Aintree and Barbon we need every competitor we can find. As we’ve said above ….. Use it or lose it!
